Barnett Encourages Seniors To Sign Up For Drug Coverage

McPherson 5.12.06 - Senator Jim Barnett (R-Emporia), the leading Republican candidate for Kansas Governor and practicing Emporia physician, today encouraged seniors to enroll in the Medicare prescription drug program.

"With just a week to go, it is important that seniors sign up before the May 15th deadline," Barnett said.

"I meet with patients every day who are very concerned about the cost of their prescription medications. I number of my patients have told me this has been a godsend for them. I encourage everyone to take a look at Medicare prescription coverage, either for themselves or eligible family members. Even if you don't take medications right now it will provide peace of mind down the road."
